Sight Word Activities Available for Purchase Then, your child can read the sentences to you. Mix up the words into a big pile, create a model sentence, and then have your child match up the words to create the other sentences. Teachers or students can cut up the sentences and rebuild them. Sight Word Sentence BuildersĪgain, this activity uses the same sentences as the previous activities. The student can either paste the solid word cut-outs, dotted lines cut-outs, or write the sight word in the space.
Using the same sentences from the mini-book, these flip books provide another opportunity to practice writing, recognizing, and reading the given sight word. Make sure you child touches each word as they say it. If your child isn’t quite reading yet, read the sentences to them and they can echo you. Once colored, cut along the dark lines and staple together. They are designed for children to read them easily. This is a super simple sight word mini-book. Three of those activities are making a mini-book, flip book, and recreating sentences that use the word. We complete a sight word activity each day.
